As a The Little Gym Management Trainee you'll be working in a full-time position specifically designed to put you on a fast track toward becoming a Program Director, ideally by late 2008. Typically, the Management Trainee reports to a Gym Director, while also reporting indirectly to the Owners of a specific The Little Gym. Upon completion of an in-depth training program, responsibilities frequently include: Teaching classes Assisting the Management Team in the management of day-to-day operations Managing projects and initiatives assigned by the Owner and/or Gym Director Providing outstanding customer service Providing marketing and/or vendor relations support Assisting the Gym Director and/or Program Director with operational reports, staff training programs, brand equity assurance programs and other initiatives Selling The Little Gym programs to new and existing customers For over 30 years The Little Gym has set the standard for progressive motor-skill development, by providing children with a foundation of confidence through non-competitive, gymnastics-based programs. Our Parent/Child, Pre-K and Grade School developmental gymnastics classes, along with our Sports Skills Development, Karate and Dance classes, are all taught in a fun, safe and nurturing environment, which encourages children to improve their self confidence and develop skills at their own pace. Currently there are more than 350 The Little Gym locations open around the world! Position is located in Richmond area, training will include travel among our 3 Richmond locations. A background in child development, sports management, physical education and/or gymnastics is a plus. Daytime, evening and occasional weekend hours are generally required.
